\"\"is an interdisciplinary research team working within ISS and carrying out research for the co-creation of better, democratic and wisely managed cities. <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Civil City Lab aims to investigate the consequences of technological development in the context of urban life. We want to understand how digitization and new technologies can shape the quality of life of city users, influence cities development and urban policies. We are particularly interested in how technology can influence the implementation of the principles of democracy, equality and social justice in cities. Based on existing sociological and psychological theories \u2013 including the recent concept of \u201cdigital right to the city\u201d \u2013 we want to answer the question about the impact of technological innovations on the well- being of urban dwellers, social cohesion and the quality of local democracy, understood as the ability of citizens to articulate their interests and participate in making decisions about the direction of city development.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nled several international projects concerning urban cohesion, civil society, social
\nentrepreneurship and welfare state issues, as well as gender and social equality in public
\nand private sphere. Since 2020 she is UNESCO Chair in Women, Society and

\nSciences in Warsaw, Poland. Her research interests include positive psychology, mental health,<\/span>
\nurban health, emotions and emotion regulation, and the influence of natural and urban<\/span>
\nenvironments on well-being.\u00a0<\/span>
\nShe cooperates with the Civil City Lab. She is the Principal Investigator in her own research project<\/span>
\n\u201cContact with nature and wellbeing: the role of nature connectedness, emotion regulation, and<\/span>
\nseason of the year\u201d, funded by the Polish National Science Center, and participated in several<\/span>
\nother projects. She teaches PhD students at IPPAS and the Graduate School for Social Research<\/span>
\n(GSSR).\u00a0<\/span>
\nShe was a visiting researcher at City, University of London (UK), she (co-)authored numerous<\/span>
\npublications and conference presentations, and is a reviewer for several scientific journals.<\/span><\/p>\n

I am a Social Psychologist and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Psychology, University of<\/span>
\nWarsaw, where I lead the Social and Clinical Psychology Lab (SoCLab UW). In addition to<\/span>
\nmy training in psychology, I hold an MA in Cultural Studies from Adam Mickiewicz<\/span>
\nUniversity in Poznan, Poland. I earned my PhD with honors from the Faculty of Psychology<\/span>
\nat the University of Warsaw, with research conducted in Jerusalem on the consequences of<\/span>
\ncollective memory for present intergroup attitudes.<\/span>
\nI was a predoctoral fellow at the European Research Centre on Migration and Ethnic<\/span>
\nRelations at the University of Utrecht. Additionally, I have served as Principal Investigator in<\/span>
\nthree projects funded by the Polish National Science Centre. My primary research interests lie<\/span>
\nin social and environmental psychology, intergroup relations, urban studies, and climate<\/span>
\nchange issues. I also explore the intersection of social and clinical psychology, focusing on<\/span>
\nthe interaction between social and intrapsychic processes.<\/span><\/p>\n
