The Meanings of Family: Contemporary Family Models in Europe
\nInterdisciplinary research on contemporary family structure, from the traditional nuclear model towards actual re-enactments of family as an open-ended cultural container of various relationships. The objective is to investigate and comparatively analyse current family models in forms of marriage, cohabitation, same-sex relationship, single parenting, extended family and\/or community in the selected European countries.
\nWomen and Work: Comparative Perspectives on Women\u2019s Key Challenges in Central and Eastern Europe Today \/Theory and Practice
\nA comparative interdisciplinary research concerning key issues and challenges that shape and affect women\u2019s work in Central and Eastern Europe. The objective is to employ broad concepts of work with respect to paid and unpaid work, access to employment and further education, as well as with respect to age, culture, origin, and work patterns involving flexibility and home-based work.<\/p>\n
