Lifelong Learning<\/h2>\n

\nLifelong Learning (LLL) refers to the process of all learning from pre-school to postretirement, including formal, non-formal
\nand informal learning. Objectives of LLL
\nare active citizenship, personal fulfilment,
\nsocial inclusion, and facilitation of employment. The notion of LLL is based on the
\nprinciples centrality of the learner, equal
\nopportunities and quality and relevance of
\nlearning opportunities.\n<\/p>\n

\nThe area of education and training in
\nEurope due to diversity \u2013 both from a cultural and philosophical point of view, as
\nwell as from an investment and planning
\ncapacity perspective at the Member States
\n\u2013 is not yet as coherent as intended by policy orientations. The challenge for the
\nmember states of the European Union is to
\ndevelop and implement LLL strategies that
\ncombine the national character of the educat ional system and simultaneously converge to the principles of Education and
\nTraining 2010.\n<\/p>\n
