The “Gender, Technology & Power” Conference in Warsaw is behind us, and we can confidently say – it was a great success!
For three days (2–4 September), we discussed the fact that technology is never neutral. It can foster equality but also deepen discrimination. We explored how digital tools shape power relations and searched for ways to build a more just digital future. A heartfelt thank you to the organizers: ISS, WS, PWILL, and WG10. New book by ISS researchers: “Transnational Working-Class Literatures: Canons and Connections in the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries”
The Volume “Transnational Working-Class Literatures: Canons and Connections in the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries” focuses on the interplay of the national, international and transnational contexts of working-class literatures from the nineteenth century to the present across 13 countries. Exploring the relationship between a working-class literature and its national ‘canon,’ it features articles by ISS affiliates, Wiktor Marzec (serving also as a co-editor) and Risto Turunen.
