Jacek Szamrej passed away
We are deeply saddened to inform you that, our colleague Jacek Szamrej died Oct. 13 from a heart attack. He was 61. Jacek was a long-time employee of the ISS.
ISS to coordinate a research network supported by a NAWA grant
The ISS will coordinate the project received by the University of Warsaw from the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under the Academic International Partnerships program. The funds from the Academic International Partnerships programme will be used to build a research network consisting of research units from France (EHESS in Paris and the University of Strasbourg), Germany (University of Bonn), Norway (University of Oslo), Italy (University of Bologna) and Poland (University of Warsaw). On the part of the University of Warsaw, the Robert Zajonc Institute of Social Studies will be involved in building the network together with the Institute of Sociology. The main task of the network will be to develop the relational paradigm in social sciences.
